Pecos Gambusia

Pecos Gambusia are small mosquitofish exquisitely adapted to the widely fluctuating conditions of desert spring-fed pools and marshes of west Texas. Many however were lost in the 1950s due to overpumping of Trans-pecos aquifers and draining of marshes for agricultural irrigation.
