Sharon Schmalz has served as the executive director of the Wildlife Center of Texas, and its predecessor, Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education, since 1993. In that capacity, she has worked on collecting, treating and releasing injured, sick or abandoned wildlife found in the Houston area, as well as the surrounding nine counties.
