Ronnie Luster was an insurance broker by profession, but also a committed bird hunter and saltwater fisherman, He was a founding member of the Gulf Coast Conservation Association and served as chair of the CCA Texas Parks and Wildlife Committee, supporting key initiatives of the agency. He was especially involved in removal of abandoned crab traps along the Texas coast.
