Robert Mace is Executive Director and Chief Water Policy Officer at the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment, and is a Professor of Practice in the Department of Geography at Texas State University in San Marcos. Dr. Mace has studied the history of the development of Leon and Comanche Springs, including dams, ditches, and wells. His insights give critical background to the struggles of the Leon Springs pupfish and other indigenous spring fish and vegetation.
