Mark Kirkpatrick, Ph.D., is a theoretical population geneticist and evolutionary biologist. He teaches in the the Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Texas. He has volunteered over the years in protection of central Texas ecosystems and species, especially Barton Springs and the Barton Springs salamander, which he helped get listed as an endangered species.
