Laurie Dries, Ph.D., is a former biologist at the Watershed Protection Department of the City of Austin. She worked intensively with the Barton Springs salamander, helping implement its section 10(a) endangered species permit, managing the Springs and the salamander population, monitoring hydrologic data, and providing outreach to the public and agency officials.
