Mr. Caraviotis has had a varied conservation career, working for EPA, Harris County Pollution Control Services, and the Houston Zoo. While at the Houston Zoo, he served in the bird section. Among the hundreds of bird species he cared for, he also worked on the captive breeding and release of the Attwater’s prairie chicken.
