Dr. Pollack is a marine scientist who chairs the Coastal Conservation and Restoration program at the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies, and also teaches in the Department of Life Sciences at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi. She has been heavily involved for a number of years in Eastern oyster research, conservation, and restoration efforts.
