Jeff Bennett has worked as a hydrologist for the National Park Service at Big Bend National Park and Rio Grande Wild and Scenic River, and for the American Bird Conservancy in its Rio Grande Joint Venture. He has been particularly involved in restoration of stream channels, riparian woodlands, and alluvial aquifers, possibly with help from North American beavers.
