Hilary Swarts, Ph.D., worked as a wildlife biologist at Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge, east of Harlingen. Among other duties at the Refuge, she was involved in research, conservation, and public education on behalf of the ocelot. She now works at Ruby Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Nevada.
