Greg Stunz, Ph.D., is a marine biologist, a professor in the Texas A&M University system, chair of the Fisheries and Oceans Health Program at the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies, and a member of the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council. During the course of his career, he has studied a variety of fisheries, including shark, cobia, tarpon, black drum, and other species. Much of his work has touched on understanding and managing the red snapper.
