Mr. Mannchen worked as an environmental investigator for the City of Houston Bureau of Air Quality Control, and volunteered with the non-profit group GHASP, the Galveston-Houston Association for Smog Prevention, and the Houston Sierra Club, where he has long been chair of the Forestry Subcommittee.
