Andy Balinsky worked as a network security engineer for many years, but also volunteered as a purple martin landlord, repairing, cleaning, protecting, feeding and collecting data on colonies in nestboxes and gourds at Hornsby Bend. He has also been active in teaching other landlords about the martin care, and in hosting the public at Travis Audubon’s summertime pre-migration roost parties.
